Leave the Car Behind - Discover Our Favourite Coastal & Forest Walks

Not sure about you… but for me, as the weather begins to cool, something shifts. The outdoors starts calling in a different way. The light softens, the air feels clearer, and suddenly the idea of a long, wandering walk becomes far more appealing than through summer.

From The Beach Havens, some of the most beautiful walks on the coast begin quite literally at your doorstep.

The kind that don’t feel like a “walk”…
more like a quiet wandering through whatever catches your eye.

Serenity Beach

Start with the beach.

Early morning or late afternoon, it doesn’t really matter—there’s a rhythm to it.
Waves rolling in, long stretches of sand, and that wide open feeling you only get by the ocean.

You can wander north towards Woolgoolga, or head south in the direction of Moonee Beach - both are long, uninterrupted, and endlessly beautiful.

No crowds. No rush. Just space.

Look At Me Now Headland

If you feel like a little elevation, the headlands are something else.

Look At Me Now Headland is a favourite for a reason - rolling green hills, endless ocean views, and if you’re lucky, kangaroos quietly grazing as if they belong there (they do).

Further along, Woolgoolga Headland offers a completely different perspective - rugged, expansive, and just as breathtaking.

These are the kinds of places you go for a quick walk…
and end up staying far longer than you planned.

Sherwood Falls

And then there’s the forest.

Sherwood Forest is one of those places that instantly grounds you.
Tall trees, filtered light, and that cool, earthy quiet that only exists in the bush.

It’s the kind of walk that resets everything without you even realising.

Gondwana Rainforest - Dorrigo National Park

That’s the beauty of this place.

You don’t need to drive anywhere or if you do it’s so close.
You don’t need an itinerary.

You just choose a direction… and go.

Beach. Headland. Creek. Forest.

All within reach. All part of the experience.

Haven Oceana - The Beach Havens

And when you return - salt on your skin, sand on your feet, or that soft forest stillness lingering - you’re back at The Beach Havens.

Exactly where you want to be.
