Better Late Than Never: From The Beach Havens at Emerald Beach

Some seasons move quietly. Others rush past in a blur.

The past few months have been the latter for us - full, emotional, and deeply meaningful. With The Bellingen House lovingly prepared for its next chapter and new owners, our days were spent with hands busy and hearts full. Before we quite realised it, summer was in full swing, cicadas humming, steamy days giving way to stormy nights, and then suddenly it was Christmas.

And so this note comes a little later than planned. But perhaps that suits the spirit of what we try to offer our guests at The Beach Havens. Nothing here is rushed.

This time of year always feels like an invitation. Not to tally achievements, but to honour moments.

We welcomed families reuniting after time apart. Couples celebrating milestones. Friends seeking calm after long, full years. We watched children gather shells like treasure, saw early risers cradle coffee as the sun kissed the horizon, and heard laughter drift through open doors as dinner came alive on the deck. These moments - your moments - are what give this place its heart

And yes, amidst all of this, we were quietly grateful to receive another year of host badges and Superhost status, alongside a collection of glowing five-star reviews from our wonderful guests.

One that especially stayed with us came from Victoria:

It literally has everything — privacy, luxurious furnishings, a well-appointed kitchen, and views that take your breath away. The space is light and airy, a stone’s throw from the beach and cafés. Emerald Beach is a total vibe, and I already have it in my calendar to return several times next year. As we walked up the stairs, we both felt our nervous systems relax and knew immediately that we were on holidays. This place truly is magic.”
