EMERALD BEACH
A perfect destination for a family or romantic holiday. A quieter atmosphere than some of the other beaches along the Coffs Coast, as well as being a safe option for swimming.
Emerald Beach forms part of the northern coastal strip of Coffs Coast and is the only region of NSW where the Great Dividing Range meets the ocean. There are few places in the world where sub-alpine, sub-tropical and sub-marine environments all co-exist in the one area with such beauty. Because of its varied geology, this is a region astoundingly rich in environmental diversity. From ancient mountain escarpments to World Heritage-listed rainforests, across golden beaches to the magical sea life of the Solitary Islands Marine Park, Emerald Beach and the Coffs Coast is a land of wonder. Such wonder and natural beauty begs to be explored.
Emerald Beach caters for surfers too with an exposed point break that has fairly consistent surf. Summer offers the favoured conditions for surfing. The best wind direction is from the south southwest with some shelter here from south winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the northeast.The break here is a left hand point.
